We were asked by the Škoda Marjan auto company to prepare an architectural design for a new
corporate building in Split. The plot is located in a commercial and industrial zone which one passes on entering the city of Split.
We developed two designs for the building that was to be constructed on sloping terrain according to the client’s requirements for transport and access. The first design presents a simple oblong structure parallel to the road that leads to the city. This design was inspired by a wall in Diocletian’s Palace. The building – a modern wall – has window spaces, a display of the cars on offer, a sitting area and a green area on the roof. The second design, a building perpendicular to the main road, resembles a modern boat anchored in a port.
