Jevany, a genteel municipality with beautiful lakes and forests, is located not far from Říčany near Prague. The owner of a local family house read about our reconstruction project of a family house in Kopřivnice in Nedělní svět in 2005. He contacted us and our cooperation began.
The extension is designed to the south of the building. There are two parts of the house that are perpendicular to each other. The first part is a one-storey building situated in the same direction as the longer side of the original family house (the east-west axis). The second part is a two-storey building and it forms a connecting element between the extension and the original family house.
The extension is designed as a wooden house using a wood-frame system for the walls, with a wooden ventilated façade made out of larch planks in a natural tone, and with aluminium windows.
